We wish to inform you that the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia received reports on Thursday afternoon, 24 April 2025,
regarding incidents of unauthorised access and trading activities involving investors’ online trading accounts.
Several brokers have reported failed client login attempts and unauthorised trades executed through a limited number of client accounts.
Investigations into these security breaches are currently being conducted by the relevant authorities.
In response, AFFIN Hwang Investment Bank Berhad has taken immediate steps to strengthen security measures across our trading platform.
As part of this initiative, clients are strongly advised to update their login credentials as soon as possible.
We seek your support in communicating the following actions to your clients:
1. Change of Password:
Clients are advised to update their login password following best security practices (i.e., use strong password with a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters).
2. Reset of Trading PIN:
Clients should also reset their Trading PIN as an additional security layer.
3. For password update/reset of Trading PIN assistance:
